Over the past few months, Kerris & Leonie have been working with young people from The Bureau's Youth Art Group to produce work for a guided walk of Blackburn's Inspirational women, based around the town centre . This was a commission from Re:Fresh and will be being launched on Inspirational Women's day on Saturday 8th March 2025.The group have explored, embroidery, papercutting, photography, cyanotpyes and print making as part of the project, and their work has been used to create a guide.
The Bureau will be hosting a mini exhibition of the work created. You can visit this and pick up a copy of the guide on Saturday.
We will also have the badge machine out, so you will be able to make an inspirational woman inspired badge, fridge magnet, keyring or pocket mirror (£3-£5), & Aamirah will be joining us for stitch social 11-12.30pm.
The cafe will be open 11-3pm for drinks & cake.
