Synopsis
The story of Ghana’s relationship with Nigeria is an exciting tale of how two countries, with no shared borders, have become so closely connected that their citizens often think of them as one. In this talk, I share insights from my experiences in both countries—exploring their shared values, striking contrasts, and all the fascinating things in-between that make this West African connection truly unique.
**Biosketch: Samuel Kwesi Tawiah Owusu-Ansah **
Samuel is a dynamic speaker and doctoral researcher who works at the intersection of science, culture, and leadership. He uses his voice to reconstruct perceptions about Africa through storytelling and thought-provoking conversations on culture and leadership.
Samuel is the President of the African Graduate Student Association, where he leads initiatives that spotlight African excellence through events like Taste of Africa.
Originally from Ghana, he lived in Nigeria for a while before moving to the US. Currently at Colorado State University, he now pursues his doctorate in plant genetics, where his research focuses on unlocking new possibilities for crop improvement in Africa through a deeper understanding of complex traits.
