About this Event

Join us this International Men’s Day for an inspiring event dedicated to empowering young men by connecting them with positive male role models, particularly within the Black community. Our day will be filled with meaningful discussions and actionable insights aimed at equipping young men with practical tools to deepen their understanding of emotional intelligence, mental health, and self-confidence.

What to Expect:

Panel Discussion
A powerful panel of speakers will share personal stories about the impact of male role models in their lives—or the challenges they’ve faced in the absence of them. Through this honest dialogue, we’ll explore how these experiences have shaped their journeys and informed their approaches to raising the next generation.
Keynote Talk
We’re excited to host a thought-provoking talk on nurturing boys with emotional intelligence and authentic self-confidence. This session will provide practical strategies for embracing and understanding emotions in ways that foster resilience and a strong sense of self. Our illustreous panel which will contain the likes of John Wick, Ola Christian and more! Will speak on their experiences of how the presence—or absence—of male role models has impacted their lives.
Activity In Mentivity
Our amazing hosts Danielle Colleman and JT Bavangila will lead growth mindset and mental health activities that will allow everyone present to not only recognise their trauma triggers but will be the first step to them overcoming them - therefore denouncing the stereotype that men do not heal.

Our Goal:
To equip young men with practical tools to deepen their understanding of emotions, emotional intelligence, and mental health. By introducing them to successful role models who reflect their backgrounds, we aim to bridge a gap by providing access to inspiring mentors they may not typically encounter.

This is an invitation to build community, connect, and grow. Whether you are a young man, a mentor, or a supporter, we encourage you to attend and take part in this journey.
