Father’s Day (Kivu Ruhorahoza, Rwanda 2022)Three intertwined narratives deliver stories of liberation and rebirth in which the protagonists are taking a stand against patriarchy head on. Zaninka is a married woman grieving a lost child. Mukobwa is a girl from a wealthy family expected to donate a lung to her sick father. Kadogo is a kid trying to grow up on the streets of Kigali despite his abusive dad.
All films begin at 7:00pm in the Neville Public Museum auditorium and are on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
All films are free and open to the public and are unrated but intended for a mature audience.
