Dead Pigs (Cathy Yan, China 2018)A dark comedy that connects the stories of five disparate characters in a modernizing Shanghai, using the real-life 2013 event of thousands of dead pigs floating down the Huangpu River as its backdrop. The plot follows a pig farmer, a stubborn beauty salon owner whose home is being bought by a developer, an American architect working on that development, a sensitive busboy, and a disenchanted rich girl whose lives converge as they navigate personal, financial, and ethical struggles in a rapidly changing China
All films begin at 7:00pm in the Neville Public Museum auditorium and are on the 1st Wednesday of the month.
All films are free and open to the public and are unrated but intended for a mature audience.
