The poets will read in a round robin—including two ABQ Poets Laureate: Mary Oishi (2020-2022) and Anna Martinez (2022-2024), two dynamic activist poets Demetria Martinez and Amanda Ranth, two poets from Veterans for Peace: James Janko and Charles Powell, and Jules Nyquist of Jules’ Poetry Playhouse and author of Atomic Paradise.
It promises to be a great night of art and solidarity with others who appreciate the role of art in building community and changing the world. So here are the details:
1. The event is FREE to attend. Door prizes will be given away throughout the night. Feel free to bring a potluck dish to share, but not required.
2. Raffle tickets are $2 each or 15 tickets for $20. If you can afford it and want to keep the Peace Center going strong, we suggest you buy at least $20 worth of tickets—that’s 15 tickets! Most prizes are valued at $50 to $100 or more. When you see the beautiful raffle prizes, you will be so glad you did!
