North Hill Community Development Corporation (NHCDC) has been an essential partner in fostering a peaceful environment for our intercultural community and a welcoming neighborhood for all newcomers.This year, NHCDC will proudly host our 4th Annual International Day of Peace Celebration on September 21, 2024, to strengthen the ideals of peace through the individual and collective actions in our community! This year’s theme—Cultivating a Culture of Peace—is a call to action to promote and strengthen a culture of peace in the new millennium:
In addition to providing great local food, drinks, music, and tours of NHCDC’s properties, this open community event will honor several North Hill community members with the NHCDC’s True North Awards. These awards are presented to individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations whose commitment to the ideals of peace, social justice, community building and cohesion, and economic development have had a positive and consistent impact on North Hill. Recipients are those who lead by example, putting values into action, with integrity and an abiding commitment to peace and community.
