About this Event
This training session is for those who regularly deal with contracts – in particular, those entering into contracts with organisations (either internal or external) based outside the UK. The training will help individuals understand:
· which countries have met the UK’s ‘adequacy regulations’;
· the purpose of the EU/US Data Privacy Framework and UK’s extension to it (data bridge);
· who is responsible for implementing the appropriate safeguards;
· what appropriate safeguards should be put in place (for example international data transfer agreements/addendums or binding corporate rules); and
· when to complete a transfer risk and/or data protection impact assessment.
Why attend?
International data transfers are a complex area of the data protection legislation, so it’s important to understand how your organisation can take steps to ensure it is compliant and protects the personal data it shares outside the UK.
Who should attend?
This training session will be helpful for anyone who manages international data transfers, including but not limited to:
- Data Protection Officers (DPOs).
- Data Protection Practitioners.
