INTERNATIONAL COMEDY SHOWCASE
Join us for a fun and cosy Sunday afternoon in the heart of Utrecht!
Mad Cow Comedy hosts an afternoon of stand-up comedy performed by various international acts, all performing in English.
🎤 Utrecht-based comedian, Rachel Morton-Young, introduces a different mix of comedians every 2 weeks, so no two shows are ever the same.
Kartoffel:
Our show now takes place in the Biergarten at Kartoffel, a German-themed restaurant along the historic Oudegracht (only a 10 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station). The venue has great, affordable food, so considering coming early for lunch, or staying for a bite after the show.
Line-up 22nd Feb:
Kendra Borgen: Raised in Reagan-era Alaska, inspired by Lisa Simpson, escaped via the Alaskan highway and a one-way ticket to Amsterdam. Expect sharp storytelling, culture clash and tales from the journey between wilderness and canals.
Jens Rabiega is the funniest German/South African this far north of the Kalahari. A regular on the Dutch comedy scene, he has performed at Comic Strip in NYC, London, Edinburgh Fringe, Lithuania, Belgium and his native South Africa. Recounting stories of growing up in a German household in South Africa, being married to a French woman and becoming a father, he walks a fine line between hilarious and offensively hilarious.
Andréa van der Meel:
Born in New Zealand and armed with a Dutch last name she can barely pronounce, Andréa van der Meel is living proof that heritage doesn’t automatically equal integration. Slightly deaf (so laugh loudly!), she turns cultural confusion and everyday chaos into sharp observations and high-energy storytelling. Nominated for a Best Social Media NL Award after her viral Duolingo video, she delivers jack-in-the-box energy you won’t want to miss.

Habib Siam: Born near Bethlehem, almost became a priest, got a Ph.D. instead… then chose stand-up. Lebanese-Canadian, sharp, insightful and brilliantly funny on culture, the Middle East and the absurdity of everyday life.
