Join ceramicist Chiara Coppola for a focused two‑day workshop where you’ll learn how to make your own teapot on the pottery wheel.
Over the course of the workshop, Chiara will guide you through the full process, breaking it down into clear, manageable steps. On Day 1, you’ll throw all the parts of a teapot - the body, lid, spout, and handle - learning how to make them the right size and shape so they work well together. Chiara will share helpful tips and show you how to avoid common problems along the way.
On Day 2, once the clay has firmed up, you’ll trim and assemble your teapot. You’ll learn how to attach the spout and handle securely, adjust the fit of the lid, and make sure your teapot pours smoothly without dripping.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a fully made teapot and practical skills you can use in future pottery projects.
Who is this workshop for?
Intermediate level, you will need confident experience in throwing including centering clay on the wheel.
What you will need:
All materials and equipment are included. One piece of work will be kiln fired with a transparent glaze. Firings can take up to 6 weeks.
