About this Event
Intermediate Level Sewing: Reversible Summer Bucket Hat
Take your sewing skills to the next level in this hands-on workshop where you’ll create a stylish, fully reversible summer bucket hat. Designed for intermediate sewists, this class focuses on precision techniques and thoughtful construction to achieve a polished, professional finish—inside and out.
You’ll work with a selection of complementary fabrics to craft a hat that’s as versatile as it is functional. Along the way, we’ll cover pattern interpretation, accurate cutting, seam finishing, topstitching and shaping techniques that give your hat structure while maintaining a comfortable fit. Special attention will be given to aligning seams and achieving a clean reversible design with no visible raw edges.
By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a custom-made accessory perfect for sunny days—and the confidence to adapt the pattern for future projects.
Skills Covered:
- Working with curved seams and layered construction
- Clean finishing methods for reversible garments
- Topstitching for durability and style
- Fabric pairing and design considerations
Prerequisites:
Participants should be comfortable using a sewing machine, reading basic patterns and sewing consistent seams.
Whether you’re looking to refine your technique or add a practical handmade piece to your wardrobe, this workshop offers both challenge and creativity in equal measure.
All supplies included.
