A Two-Part Intermediate Painting Intensive in the Seattle Underground

Step beneath the streets of Seattle and into a glowing, hidden studio for a two-night deep dive designed specifically for painters ready to level up! This intermediate-focused series is for those who already understand the basics. Please come prepared to push your practice further.
What You’ll Refine & Expand:
By the end of this intensive, you'll strengthen your technical precision, deepen your understanding of composition and color relationships, and walk away with the confidence to execute more complex, layered works independently.
Advanced Skills Covered:
•Advanced color theory: temperature shifts, saturation control & atmospheric depth
•Intentional composition & focal point development
•Working from reference + live with structural accuracy
•Alla prima vs. layered approaches (when and why)
•Refining edges: lost & found, soft vs. hard transitions
•Developing dynamic brushwork & confident mark-making
•Critique + self-editing strategies to strengthen finished work
