Intermediate Finishing: Special Shapes Ornament
Description: If you’ve mastered round or square ornaments and are ready to expand your self finishing skills, this class with LeighAnne Tucci will guide you in finishing basic to complex special shapes.
What You Will Learn:
- How to properly cut the canvas based on the shape of your stitching.
- Matboard fit for smooth edges.
Materials: Students will bring to class
- one stitched canvas, between 3” to 6”
- 12”x12” piece of fabric (quilted cotton weight or similar) for the backing.
- Materials for cording can be purchased in the shop or students can bring in between 2-4 skeins of DMC Embroidery Floss or Perle Cotton 5.
- Matboard
- Photocopy of their canvas
- Batting
- Floss or DMC 8 for lacing
- Invisible thread or fishing line (4 lb to 6 lb)
- Sewing clips
