About this Event
This talk will focus on research and preliminary findings from an Consolidator Grant project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) entitled EuroWARCHILD. This is the first research project to comprehensively examine different groups of war children in the European context; across different conflicts, security settings and generations. Inger Skjelsbæk holds a PhD in psychology and is Professor at the University of Oslo where she is affiliated with the Center for Gender Research and Center for Research on Violent Extremism. She is also Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) where she has been an affiliate since 1996 focusing on women, peace and security issues with a special focus on conflict related sexual violence in the Balkans.
