About this Event

Come along to the next Interfaith Connection Cambridge event where we'll explore the theme of 'water' in our respective traditions.

The Interfaith Connection Cambridge brings together people of faith in Cambridge so that we can learn about one another’s traditions, understand one another better, extend hospitality to one another, and become friends.

We are open to people of all faiths. The current steering committee includes members of local Jewish, Baha'i, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities. We gather three times a year, taking it in turns to host one another.

Water covers more than two-thirds of our planet, essential to all life as we know it. Water is also central to our diverse religious traditions - in our rites (such as baptism, wudu, and mikvahs), our pilgrimages, our blessings, and our daily lives and prayers. This January, Interfaith Connection Cambridge (ICC) will gather in the oldest building in Cambridge to share the many ways in which water flows through our different religious traditions and to explore together the spiritual significance of water.

Join ICC at 6pm on Tuesday, 20 January, when we will meet at St Bene’t’s Church, on Benet Street - across from Jack’s Gelato and The Eagle. Light vegetarian refreshments will be served and children (with a responsible adult) are very welcome. St Bene’t’s is wheelchair accessible, but does not yet have an accessible toilet. A sound system and hearing loop will be in use, and the heating will be on. Further information on St Bene’t’s, including on safeguarding, can be found at stbenetschurch.org.
