Dr Nicola Small presents a talk entitled 'Interesting and intriguing lives - early Duchesses of Atholl, and their notable connections.'Dr Nicky Small is a freelance historian and researcher and has experience of working with private collections, archives and museum project work, family research, and advising and supporting heritage projects with individuals and organisations. She regularly presents on her research which is based on her thesis on Scottish noblewomen at the time of the Union of 1707 but she also has interests in poets, music and related themes, such as the Jacobites. She expands these historical interests as part of the singer-song writing duo PlaidSong.
