About this Event
Every year, Mass Poetry brings together professor-nominated undergraduate poets from more than 15 colleges across the Greater Boston area. With the guidance of a faculty mentor, each student hones and revises an original poem before performing their work at our intercollegiate showcase. The event also features a keynote address by January Gill O'Neil!
Mass Poetry will publish a collective anthology featuring poems by all participating students, which will debut at the post-show dessert reception. The reception will be catered and include photo opportunities. This event offers college poets an incredible opportunity to connect with peers, gain performance experience, learn about post-graduate artistic life, and see their work in print. We are grateful to our university partners for their continued collaboration and extend special thanks to Bunker Hill Community College, this year's host.
Student poets and their mentors are to arrive on campus at 5:30 while all other guests can arrive at the designated time. Although there is a registration we are allowing walk-ins to the event as well, but please consider getting a ticket beforehand so there is no added wait time during check-in! Parking on campus is free but we advice attendees to not park in student or faculty lots, the event itself will be held in Auditorim A300. Further details on traveling to BHCC can be seen here: https://bhcc.edu/campuses/visitingcharlestown/
