Join us for the opening reception of Intentional Storytelling and African Diasporan art, an art showcase in part featuring select works from the 2024 Focus Art Fair Golden Our Collective Exhbition, Chasing the Sun to Harness Light which celebrates the creativity, resilience, and stories of emerging artists from the African Diaspora. This captivating exhibition features the works from new and emerging artists, Affen Segun, Eno Bassey, Thabo Motseki, and Ingrid Nelson, curated by guest curator Ogechi Harry.
Ingrid and Ogechi will explore themes of identity, heritage, and the power of intentionality, drawing inspiration from their unique perspectives and lived experiences. The evening will include a grazing table with light refreshments, offering the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow art lovers and engage in meaningful conversation about the art on display.
At 8:00 PM, there will be an exclusive artist talk where Ogechi Harry and Ingrid Nelson will share an intimate conversation about the works featured in the exhibition and the importance of purpose-driven investing in artists and storytelling. This thought-provoking discussion will focus on how art can serve as a tool for self-reflection, education, and empowerment.
