Looking to build a solid foundation as a mediator? Register for a call with us about this course or other options.
Our highly-interactive 6-day course will give you confidence in both responding to and resolving conflict situations, whether you are working in-house or as an external consultant mediator.
Get trained in both the theory and practice of workplace mediation using the facilitative mediation process with an organisation that has a 20 year history of offering a supportive and reflective training environment. The independent OCN accreditation option gives you the chance to stand out from other mediators.
Core delivery is given by two qualified trainers, who are practising accredited mediators. This hands on six-day course will equip delegates with the skills necessary to become an effective workplace mediator, making them a valuable in-house or external resource for employers. The realistic, practical approach, with plenty of opportunity to try out new skills, enables delegates to experience the role of mediator. Constructive individual feedback throughout the course ensures continuous development.
Places will be limited to 12 delegates to ensure quality teaching with plenty of opportunity for individual feedback.
STEP 1: To apply, register with an 'Introductory Process' ticket (free). We will contact you to ensure you have all the information you need to decide whether this course is for you. The 'two level' course charges are £1200 to the point of Certification (practical assessment) and £600 for the additional Accreditation (written portfolio) option.
Places are limited to 12 to maintain quality support; it's free to register your interest.

The Calm Mediation course offers the exceptional value of three levels of learning: theory, practical assessment and written assessment. Few courses provide the benefit of consolidating your learning after the teaching phase. You will have the opportunity to secure an independently recognised qualification through OCN. Most importantly, completion of this phase will give you confidence in the quality of your practice.
Practical assessment: will take place on days 5 and 6, and will test the skills required of a workplace mediator in realistic cases (role-played by other delegates), giving a further learning opportunity.
Written assessment: delegates will be asked to answer 15 questions in writing within two months following the course. These will consolidate your learning and enhance the self-reflection of your practice.
Upon passing both the practical and written elements, delegates will be awarded the OCN accredited mediation practitioner qualification. Under the OCN scheme, you will be awarded 9 Credits at Level 3.
Fee includes all course materials, practical assessment, accreditation and subsequent written feedback.
Successfully Certified/Accredited delegates will also be welcome to attend our regular Development Sessions - free of charge - to enhance and strengthen your skills.
This course is carefully paced to make the most of your training time. It means that full attendance is required to fulfil the requirements and achieve accreditation.
