Join us for the third session of our Intellectual Property Workshop Series!
Whether you're a researcher, entrepreneur, student, or creator, understanding intellectual property is essential for protecting your innovations and ideas. This three-part workshop series, facilitated by Dr. Nicole Snyder, Professor of Chemistry at Davidson College and Cornelson Faculty Innovator in Residence at the Hurt Hub@Davidson and will demystify the world of IP and give you practical knowledge you can apply immediately.
Workshop #3: Trademarks
This workshop introduces trademarks as tools for protecting brand identity. Participants will learn how trademarks apply to products, programs, startups, and organizations, and how to build and protect a recognizable brand.
Key topics include:
- Trademarks protections for names, logos, slogans, and symbols
- Trademark clearance and common pitfalls
- Registration basics and enforcement considerations
- Trademarks in startups, research spin-offs, and institutional branding
