Are you aged 18-30 and interested in making a positive impact on the world? This engaging 3-day training course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to become an active global citizen. Young migrants are especially encouraged to attend!
Become a Changemaker:
This unique training course utilizes non-formal transformative education practices, fostering a dynamic learning environment.
- Uncover the core principles of Global Citizenship Education (GCE) and the Four Pillars.
- Explore the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their local and global significance.
- Gain a deeper understanding of Human Rights enshrined in international law.
- Learn about the European Convention on Human Rights and its provisions.
- Develop the skills to advocate for a more just and equitable world.
Focus on Migration:
This workshop goes beyond the basics of GCE, offering an exclusive focus on migration issues.
- Increase your understanding of different migrant categories.
- Distinguish xenophobia from racism in the context of migration.
- Learn how to apply human rights law in real-world situations.
About the Course:
This training is co-organized and facilitated by Meath Partnership and Development Perspectives. It's part of the Integrate project, a two-year EU initiative funded by Erasmus+ that empowers migrants through Global Citizenship Education. This project aims to foster stronger communities by providing humanitarian support – using GCE principles – to help migrants thrive in their new homes.
Upon completing the workshop, participants will receive a certificate.
