Come along and learn about instant books! Easy to make from a single sheet of paper, with endless possibilities for creative exploration.
About this Event

An instant book is made from one piece of paper which is folded, one slit is cut with a pair of scissors, and then it’s folded to give us a 6page +2 covers book structure. Depending on the ability, creativity and inspiration of the book artist, it can then be filled with images and text, flaps and pop-up elements can easily be added, or an inside poster, and many more.

Workshop Leader is Jenny Stevenson, a book artist from Derby.

Suitable for all ages (small children might benefit with support using their scissors).

No need to book a ticket. Just drop in any time during the event.

The same event will be held in three different libraries:

12th of October: Nottingham Central library, 11am - 2pm

7th of December: Wollaton Library, 10am - 1pm

11th of January 25: Arnold Library, 11am - 2pm
