About this Event
Maritime Solent and UKSA are bringing partners from across the region together for an engaging session focused on how we can collectively inspire the next generation into maritime.
The event will open with a guided tour of UKSA’s campus, offering an insight into how they equip young people with the confidence, skills, and direction to pursue meaningful futures within the sector.
Following the tour, we’ll convene for a focused discussion on collaboration across the Solent. Maritime UK and Maritime Solent will share an overview of their Inspiring the Future volunteer programme for schools, highlighting how industry professionals can play a direct role in raising awareness and aspiration among young people. UKSA will then introduce its Maritime Futures programme, designed to give teenagers a line of sight into maritime careers through hands-on experience and structured pathways.
We will also provide space for other organisations to talk about their own initiatives, challenges, and successes. This is an opportunity to connect efforts, strengthen partnerships, and build a joined-up regional approach to promoting maritime careers.
Our aim is simple: to bring the Solent’s maritime community together, share practical ways we can inspire young people, and ensure the sector remains visible, accessible, and full of opportunity.
