BIO - THE SKINNY LOVERS
“If Pop Punk Is About to Have Another Moment, These Dudes Are Leading the Charge”
Back in the day, Blink-182 crashed into the scene by tearing up stages with old-school punk bands, landing MTV airtime, and dropping enough toilet humor to make your mom cringe. Fast forward, and The Skinny Lovers are rolling in with the same wild energy—except this time, they’ve got the stamp of approval from punk royalty, handpicked by none other than Ramones drummer Marky Ramone for Sirius XM. Oh, and their first album? Already MTV-approved.
Their frontman's fedora and glasses make him look like some sort of Tony Hawk Pro Skater avatar, while their onstage antics keep the crowd just as hyped as the music. They’ve got Blink’s carefree spirit without feeling like a straight-up knockoff—more like the next step in the evolution of pop punk mayhem.
The bassist? Full-on mohawk, looking like he stepped out of Crazy Taxi, cracking jokes with the frontman like they’re two best friends starring in a lost episode of Beavis and Butt-Head. And the drummer? Silent but deadly—the kind of dude who lets his sticks do the talking, and man, do they have a lot to say.
The ingredients are all there: the hooks, the chaos, the undeniable pull of a band that just gets it. Pop punk is about to be fun again, and The Skinny Lovers are leading the charge. Buckle up.
All ages!
