About this Event
This is a fun and interactive David Hockney- inspired art workshop, consisting of 2 parts, in duration of three hours each on two consecutive Saturday mornings.
You will he able to choose to attend one or both workshops.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners and students who have already attended our previous courses and workshops. You will be under the professional supervision of our artist and tutor Marina.
During the first part of the workshop we will be doing sketching inspired by David Hockney's sketchbooks.
We will be focusing on limited colour pallet, utilising the power of limited colour, mark making and learning how to see values and use them effectively.
During the second part of the workshop we will be painting on canvas or canvas board using acrylics or oils, the choice is yours. We will be exploring bold colours, exaggerated perspective and we will be embracing the imperfections, but at the same time we will be looking at simplicity and linework.

Part 1: a good quality watercolour sketchbook, watercolour paints, brushes suitable for watercolour, a jar for water, tissues, sketching pencils and ink pens.
