WE WELCOME YOU TO JOIN US! Please come dance! A warm-up contact improv class will precede an ecstatic dance set. Feel free to come for either or both!The class:
Basic foundational improv principles will be shared in a class format, exploring the principles somatically. All levels of experience are welcome including very beginners. Basics will be covered at the beginning of the class- including physical and emotional safety. Contact Improv can involve contact with another, with the floor or with self. No need to dance with someone if you don't want to!
Ecstatic Dance set:
We will have a brief opening circle, then flow into an incredible music journey curated by Delady DJ
Melissa Gomez also known as Delady, is a Colombian multi-instrumentalist, DJ, and music producer who has dedicated her life to creating transcendent sonic stories with magnetic artistry derived from extensive travel and an innate connection to nature.
Delady brings her unique sonic vision to life by harnessing ancient wisdom and cutting-edge technology and through the use of lyrical language peppered with conscious words, downtempo elements, organic sounds, live instruments and experimental yet harmonious works that take listeners on a journey deep within themselves and on a cosmic adventure through different musical universes, creating a space for collective healing and deep awareness.
Her mission is to spread the message of love, peace and joy through her music. By creating meaningful experiences through her art, she brings people closer while inspiring them to become more connected to themselves and their spirituality.
