INSPIRE Portsmouth for the Medical Research Council (MRC): programme launch

This funding scheme, being delivered by the University of Portsmouth and funded via the Medical Research Council, will be supporting researchers to work with people and communities in the development of their research proposal ideas.

This workshop will be of interest to University of Portsmouth academics, researchers (at any career stage), and post-graduate research students, along with their collaborators, developing research topics that align with the Medical Research Council. External parties will need to collaborate with an individual at the University of Portsmouth to be eligible to apply for this funding scheme.

Info: Amy is the principal award holder for this Medical Research Council funding scheme (INSPIRE Portsmouth for the MRC). She will introduce the workshop and key individuals.

Info: Joleen will provide her perspective on public involvement in research, as a member of the public who has experience of being a public contributor helping to shape research.

Info: This funding scheme will support researchers to involve members of the public in developing a funding application to the MRC. Harriet will cover what sort of research the MRC funds.
