Welcome & Introduction: An overview of Fraunhofer IPK and an introduction to the facilities we’ll visit.

Guided Lab Tours:

• Additive Manufacturing Lab: A look at 3D printing of metal using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-LB/M) and Electron Beam Melting (EBM) technologies, including industrial applications, prototypes, and current research.
• Industry 4.0 Transfer Centre: Insights into Industry 4.0 research, showcasing technology solutions at various maturity levels and future visions for industrial innovation.
• Coating Technologies / AM Lab: Explore Laser Metal Deposition (LMD) for metal 3D printing, coating, and joining technologies, along with current research and applications.
