The Chin Family Institute for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau Nu Mu Chapter are proud to present the 17th Annual Nursing Forum: "Inquiry to Discovery: Driving Evidence-Based Nursing Care." Join us for an exciting event dedicated to bridging the gap between clinical nursing research and daily practice. Whether you're a nursing student, a new graduate, or a seasoned professional, this event is perfect for anyone interested in the practical application of the latest nursing research to improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery. OBJECTIVES
  • Describe at least two ways nursing inquiry contributes to research discovery and evidence-based practice.
  • Summarize two key findings from poster or podium presentations.
  • Identify at least two strategies for applying research findings to clinical nursing practice.

Posters from students, faculty, and nursing community members will be on display for viewing prior to the start of the forum and during the mid-morning and lunch breaks.

  • Nursing students at all levels (ADN, BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, DNP/PhD)
  • Nursing faculty
  • Professional nurses



COST
  • Cal State LA Undergraduate Nursing Students: Free (registration required)
    Please bring your student ID card to the registration check-in table
  • Other Undergraduate Nursing Students: $10
    Please bring your student ID card to the registration check-in table
  • Graduate Nursing Students: $20
  • Nursing Faculty: $20
  • Nursing Professionals: $20



NOTES
  • Please be sure to register early, as space is limited and tickets will not be available at the door.
  • Lunch will be provided.
  • Preferred attire is business casual.
  • The forum is being held in the Golden Eagle Ballroom, which is located on the 3rd floor of the Golden Eagle Building (building #6 on the Campus Map). The elevators/stairs are located just past the food court, across from the University Bookstore.
  • Parking is $10. The closest parking is the upper level of Parking Structure C, Parking Structure E, or Parking Lot 5. For more information, please see the Visitor Parking website.
  • Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 17483, for 5 CEUs.
