About this Event

For many world religions, seeking inner peace is an important element of faith. As curiosity about Eastern religions grew in the Western world, meditative practices became widely adopted for personal purification and became integral to one's spiritual quest. Our fragmented world has many pressures we never knew before. The days of starting with a foundation of consensus are long gone. The unwavering stance of our generation has made it increasingly challenging to establish connections and collaborate. Without cooperation, how far can we go?

If we seek to build together, reaching a common ground is important. Religions have different dogmatic teaching, and the manifestation of the divine is understood in many different ways. If we look for commonality between religions, peace is that shared goal.

UKIYN’s series of webinars “Inner Wellbeing” will be featuring meditation practices from a variety of religions, offering the chance to promote religious literacy and deepen our experience by seeing how that inner peace can affect our daily life and choices. We wish that through understanding the how and the why behind the effort to seek inner peace, we can grow to appreciate the positive impact that gained strength can build collectively.

Our first webinar “Mindfulness Across Faiths” will explore the universal concept of mindfulness as practised in Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and understand how different faiths approach and incorporate mindfulness into their spiritual traditions.

Discover how this can help build wider peace in the community.
