**Ecstatic dance offers a space for people to let go of inhibitions, connect with themselves and others, and experience the joy of movement in its purest form. It can be a deeply transformative and liberating practice for those who engage with it regularly.
*Free parking in the school lot across from the hall, or on the street.
* Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated, and wear comfy layered clothing for moving and sweating in.
* Please take this time away from your devices and phones to be fully present in your body.
* We dance in bare feet (indoor dance shoes also work, if need be)
* Once on the dance floor, you're in the container- please refrain from speaking with words on the dance floor. Make space to let your body talk.

Ecstatic Dance takes place in Ottawa, on the unceded unsurrendered territory of the Anishinaabe Algonquin Nation whose presence reaches back to time immemorial. We honour in gratitude their past and present contributions to our lives on this land.
About your host:
Chana is a free spirit, artist and lover of life. She has been dancing for over 20 years and facilitating Ecstatic Dance journeys since 2021. She believes in the medicinal healing process of dance and brings this understanding and magic to her events. She curates a special playlist and invites those present to go on a deep journey. Creating this experience is one her upmost deepest passion. Chana loves people and connecting deeply and authentically.
She believes that love is the highest vibration and feels like it can heal the world.
For the past 5 years she has been doing outreach work with the homeless population, & as a peer support worker.
She is passionate about supporting those who are dealing with mental health struggles, addictions and homelessness.
