On Sunday 2 November, community gardens across Australia will open for National Community Gardens Day - a celebration of gardening, sharing knowledge, and building stronger, greener neighbourhoods. We’re proud to have four vibrant community gardens participating in this nationwide event including one of our most well-established gardens, Inglewood / Mt Lawley. Open from 9.00am to 11.00am, drop by the garden to enjoy morning tea, plant stalls and a tour of the garden.
Fiona from the City of Stirling’s Sustainability team will also run an interactive workshop, Integrated Pest Management at 9.00am. Participants will discover safer, smarter ways to manage pests in your garden - without relying on harsh chemicals.
It will include:

🪴How to successfully identify pests (including beneficial insects) at all stages of their life cycle
🪴What choices gardeners have to manage harmful insect problems
