About this Event
Join InfraGard Kansas City Members Alliance for our May Chapter Meeting, featuring two high-impact sessions focused on critical infrastructure protection and personal/organizational preparedness.
Session 1: America's Supply Chain – Nexus of Physical and Cyber Risk
America’s supply chain is under increasing threat as adversaries exploit the intersection of cyber vulnerabilities and physical operations. From sophisticated ransomware attacks that shut down production lines to cyber-enabled cargo theft rings using fake carriers, hijacked accounts, and fraudulent reconsignments, today’s criminals are as likely to use a laptop as a crowbar.
This timely panel brings together regional practitioners, security experts, and federal partners for a grounded, actionable discussion on real-world threats facing the Transportation, Food & Agriculture, and Commercial Facilities sectors. You’ll gain practical insights into building resilient supply chain security programs and understand why cargo crime has evolved into a national security issue.
Session 2: Learn Preparedness – Run. Hide. Fight.
Presented by a Special Agent from the FBI Kansas City Field Office.
Active shooter incidents can happen anywhere, in seconds. This essential training covers the nationally recognized “Run. Hide. Fight.” response framework:
- Run – Evacuate quickly and safely when possible
- Hide – Secure and barricade your location when evacuation isn’t an option
- Fight – Defend yourself as a last resort when your life is in imminent danger
The session also addresses organizational preparedness, including what companies, institutions, and security teams should consider when developing or updating critical incident response plans.
This training is highly relevant for security professionals, facility managers, HR leaders, business owners, and anyone responsible for the safety of others.
