About this Event

Interested in joining our next 6-month cohort of the Maker to Manufacturer program? The next cohort starts in April and concludes in October. Deadline to apply here is April 16, 2026: https://prototypepgh.org/steponup

With support from the Heinz Endowments and PNC Charitable Trusts, our Step On Up: Maker to Manufacturer program supports women, people with marginalized gender identities, and low-income communities to gain makerspace and manufacturing training.

This free 6-month program provides participants with makerspace training at Prototype PGH followed by manufacturing training at Protohaven in Point Breeze and New Century Careers in the South Side.

Workshops take place twice per month on weeknights. Participants are provided with on-site childcare, transportation reimbursement, and meals during training. The program culminates in a Career Fair with local manufacturing companies.
