Molly Moolman is a vocalist, songwriter, and recent graduate of Capilano University’s renowned jazz program, and is currently residing on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Her musical style is deeply influenced by the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter and Etta Jones. Her compositional identity blends her jazz training with her love for neo-soul, contemporary pop, and folk, exploring themes of nostalgia and hope. Molly is grateful to be joined by Benjamin Millman (p) and Bella Fedrigo (b) to share a selection of standards from the Black American Music tradition, as well as some of her own compositions.Frankie's After Dark takes place every Friday & Saturday night at Frankie's Jazz Club (755 Beatty) at 11PM.
