Clara Lin is a pianist and vocalist based in Vancouver, originally from China. Classically trained from a young age, she holds a BM in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music and an MM in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. These experiences helped her grow alongside some of the best musicians and develop her versatility and skill. Clara recently released her single, "You and I."For Clara, music is more than just a career—it’s a way of life she can’t live without, and a language for connecting and spending time with friends. In thisshow, She will be leading a trio featuring her favorite friends—bassist EmilioSuárez and drummer Karl DeJong—for a night of soulful, joyful, and swinging
music in tribute to jazz legend Nina Simone.
Frankie's After Dark takes place every Friday & Saturday night at Frankie's Jazz Club (755 Beatty) at 11PM. Tickets are $10 and are added to your bill at the end of the night. This series is curated & presented by Infidels Jazz.
