Indómitas is a live monthly podcast series hosted by Chelis López of KPOO and Radio Bilingüe, featuring untamable voices of fierce women artists and activists. For the August 2024 podcast, Indómitas will interview Diana Gameros, a singer, songwriter, composer, and social justice activist based in Berkeley, California.
Please note that the live podcast will be conducted in Spanish.
The one-hour-long community forum, hosted in Spanish by Línea Abierta's Chelis López, will be held before a live audience at the Brava Cabaret, August 21, from 7 PM to 8 PM.

DIANA GAMEROS
Diana Gameros is a singer, songwriter, composer, and social justice activist based in Berkeley, California. She was born and raised in Juárez, México and immigrated to the United States as a teenager. Over the last decade in the Bay Area she has released two albums of original songs written in Spanish and English and has been highlighted often by NPR's Tiny Desk concert series, and a documentary film about her was released by KQED in 2020. Her music often tells stories of family, migration, and home, and has led her to perform with other prominent performers such as Joan Baez, Natalia Lafourcade, and the San Francisco Symphony. Diana received the 2023 Music Award Grant from the Gerbode Foundation to record a new album at Women’s Audio Mission studio in San Francisco to be released in 2025.

Diana Gameros es una cantante, compositora y activista por la justicia social radicada en Berkeley, California. Nació y creció en Juárez, México y emigró a los Estados Unidos cuando era adolescente. Durante la última década, en el Área de la Bahía, ha lanzado dos álbumes de canciones originales escritas en español e inglés y ha sido destacada a menudo por la serie de conciertos Tiny Desk de NPR, y KQED lanzó un documental sobre ella en 2020.
