Join us for three incredible days of steam power in the Eastern Valley of Wales, at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Expect to hear the engines working hard as they power up our steep gradients. An intensive timetable will be in operation with both passenger and demonstration freight trains operating.
This yearโs line up will feature locomotives that originally worked in South Wales.

Stay tunedโฆ trust us, you wonโt want to miss this one! We hope to announce our first visiting locomotive for this yearโs event soon.
Subject to successful running-in and testing, this will also be the first Steam Gala appearance of 2074 Llantarnam Abbey following a very long overhaul.

A number of guided yard tours will take place over the three days. These will be available from Furnace Sidings ticket office to those who have purchased rover tickets for the event.
