About this Event
Steven Soderbergh's No Sudden Move is a neo-noir crime thriller set in 1950s Detroit, where a seemingly simple heist unravels into a tangled web of corporate deceit. As gangsters, corrupt officials, and unsuspecting employees collide, the plot slowly exposes the shadowy tactics of the American car industry to suppress catalytic converter technology. Beneath the surface of mob dealings and double-crosses lies a critique of how industrial power shaped environmental policy and public health in post WWII America.
