About this Event
This workshop will have TWO sessions:
Session 1 (December 17th, 5:30-7 pm): Learn about the Tennessee Arts Commission grant portal and options, walk through the grant together and review each section, plus tips and tricks for your application. Work time to get started on your application.
Session 2 (December 22nd, 5:30-7 pm): Come back with all or most of your application completed, this session is for specific questions you have after gathering the application materials, or to ask us to read through your application for feedback and suggestions.

About the Grant:
This grant is for INDIVIDUAL artists and is not available to nonprofits or other organizations. Applicants must be a Tennessee resident.
The Individual Artist Fellowship (IAF) provides monetary awards to outstanding professional artists (i.e. those individuals who by education, experience, or natural talent engage in a particular art form or discipline) who live and work in Tennessee. To qualify, an artist must be financially compensated for their work, and this compensation must be a significant source of support for their livelihood.

- Visual Art (Three-Dimensional Work and Mural Arts)
- Craft
- Media (Film and Photography)
- Dance (Solo Dance, Choreography, or Movement-based Work)
- Music (Performance-based Work or Composition-based Work)
- Theatre (Acting or Directing, Playwriting, or Production Design)
- Literary Arts (Creative Non-fiction, Fiction, Children's Literature/Young Adult Literature, or Poetry)
