Join textile artist Davana Robedee at Atelier Clos Mirabel for a week of indigo shibori experimentation in the French Pyrénées. Commonly known throughout the world as ‘tie-dye’, Shibori comes from the Japanese root word Shiboru, meaning to wring, squeeze, or bind. Guided by Davana’s expertees and step-by-step demonstrations, explore a range of dye techniques, learning the advantages of various vatting and binding methods to create spectacular patterns on cloth.
This course is attuned to each individual’s needs and abilities, ensuring each student leaves with beautifully dyed fabrics, scarves, or wearables, and instructional handouts to continue their exploration.
