Delynia Jannell has been singing since she was two years old, starting on the church pews of Bethel Church of God in Christ in Kansas City, Kansas. That foundation has never left her voice — there's a warmth, a power, and an honesty in her delivery that only comes from growing up where music and faith are the same thing.
Over 13 years of professional performing, Delynia has built a reputation across Kansas City's best stages. She holds residencies at Sullivan's Steakhouse and both Johnnie's Jazz Bar locations, leads the Delynia Jannell Ensemble, and sings lead for Boogie Nights KC and Simply Tina, a Tina Turner tribute band. She's provided background vocals for Tech N9ne, Krizz Kaliko, Kelley Hunt, and E-40, and she's a regular at Knuckleheads and venues throughout the metro.
With a voice shaped by gospel, jazz, and R&B, Delynia is one of the Blue Room's most frequent Indigo Hour performers — and every time she takes the stage, it's clear why they keep inviting her back. Free admission and drink specials.
