Indigenous Relations Cultural Respect & Humility Training

Rooted & Restored Collaborative invites healthcare, behavioral health, and allied professionals to participate in a 3-hour systems-focused Indigenous Relations Cultural Respect & Humility Training.
This training goes beyond surface-level cultural awareness. It provides historical, social, and systemic context for understanding how colonization, displacement, policy, and structural inequities have shaped health outcomes for Indigenous communities and other historically marginalized populations.
Participants will gain practical tools to integrate culturally respectful practices across clinical care, operations, leadership, and community engagement within modern healthcare environments.
This training is relevant for professionals working in any healthcare, behavioral health, public health, or human services setting.
Training Focus Areas:
• Historical context of colonization, policy impact, and intergenerational trauma
• Overview of how systemic inequities affect Indigenous communities and other historically marginalized groups
• Diversity among Tribes, Nations, and Indigenous communities
• Indigenous worldviews, kinship systems, and culturally grounded healing frameworks
• Distinctions between Western clinical models and Indigenous wellness approaches
• Cultural humility as an ongoing practice — not a checklist
• Ethical engagement and systems-level accountability in healthcare environments
• Practical implementation strategies across departments
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion documenting 3 hours of professional development.
