INDIE FIRST SATURDAY is Resist Booksellers shining a spotlight on local, independently published authors with books you should know. Come meet and celebrate our second author CHRISTINA OWENS who will showcase her work including the book A Cup of Authenticitea.
We invite the entire community to come out SATURDAY, MARCH 7TH from 12-2PM and meet Christina and support her work.
And if you need more incentives, ALL BOOKS in store are 10% off from 11am-2pm.
ABOUT CHRISTINA:
Christina Owens makes her literary debut with A Cup of Authenticitea, a reflective collection of short stories set in and around a community tea café, where meaningful conversations unfold with humor, heart, and a little wonder. Blending storytelling with tea-inspired reflection recipes, her work invites readers to pause, sip, and consider the beauty found in life’s in-between moments.
With more than 20 years in education, Christina currently serves as Coordinator of Private Schools for Students with Disabilities at the Virginia Department of Education. Her professional life centers on advocacy, leadership, and creating environments where individuals feel seen and supported.
She shares her work through StinaGene, a creative platform that houses her writing, reflections, and passion projects, and is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., reflecting her lifelong commitment to service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
