About this Event

DMHA is providing an in-person, 40-hour Certified Crisis Peer Training held at the Indiana Government Center South 302 W Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46204 in Conference Room 17.

This 5-day course will prepare Certified Peer Support Specialists to work in peer support roles in crisis service environments. The training runs from 9am-4pm starting Monday through Friday.

The training supports the development/honing of skills focused on the following areas: 1) Peer relationships in crisis services, 2) cooling the crisis, 3) peer practice improvement: debriefing and supervision, 4) crisis peer support and teamwork, and 5) self-development in peer support: professional development and self-care.

You must be certified and employed as a peer for minimum of 1 year in order to register for the training.
