About this Event
InDesCanada: Industrial Design Conference, Competition and Networking Event
InDesCanada is a student-led conference created to put emerging Canadian industrial design talent on a bigger stage while bringing industry and academia into the same conversation. It is built for real outcomes: meaningful connections, research-informed thinking, and a stronger pipeline between who is learning, who is leading, and who is next.
The inaugural event is supported by partners including REALTOR.ca, Riipen, and the Carleton University Alumni Association (CUAA), organizations aligned around a shared belief that the next era of design will be shaped through collaboration, evidence, and ambition. With venue support from Carletonβs School of Industrial Design, InDesCanada offers a focused, high-quality experience designed to feel intentional from the first touchpoint to the final closing.
What makes it different is who it is built for. Not only industrial designers, but also graduate students and professionals across disciplines who want to understand how design research and design thinking drive better products, services, and systems. Through speakers, live student presentations, and structured networking, InDesCanada creates the kind of room where conversations turn into opportunities and emerging talent gets seen.
