About this Event
INDEFEST is one of the largest African celebrations in the Region of Waterloo, commemorating Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1st. This festival honors and inspires Nigerians living in the region and beyond, while also providing an opportunity to network with other nationalities. INDEFEST is an epic display of Nigerian arts, culture, dance, food, and music.
Since 2016, we have successfully held nine editions of the Independence Day Festival, attracting over 2,800 people from across the Region of Waterloo and its surroundings. Special guests have included notable Nigerians making a positive impact in the region and across Canada, Members of Parliament, Mayors, and community leaders.
