About this Event
Join MSJI (The Muslim Social Justice Initiative) on Thursday, 28th March at 6:00 PM at Contact Theatre for another night of creativity, belonging and delicious food.
We are very excited to be partnering with Ajeeb Studios, a new Manchester based production company, to host a second safe space this Ramadan.
Together, we will break fast and explore sukoon (an arabic word meaning rest and ease). Through facilitated story writing sessions, an open mic, and gentle sound healing, we invite you to bring your full self, and creatively reflect on the final few nights of Ramadan this year.
This event is open to Muslim young people and their friends and allies aged 18-30.
We invite you to bring food to share, but all food must be accompanied by a complete allergens / ingredients list. We will not be allowing any foods containing sesame, nuts or fish into the event.
MSJI are building an inclusive platform for British Muslim young people to challenge social injustice. We are queer affirming, feminist and anti-racist. If you need any further information, or have accessibility requirements please email: [email protected].
To support this event, we ask that you provide a pay what you can donation when purchasing tickets. We have free tickets available for all that need them, and all of the money raised from ticket sales goes directly into supporting MSJI's work.
