About this Event
The Event - The Flowertown Writing Marathon is an event that creates an environment for writers to create amongst their peers. Following a brief introduction, writers will break into small groups and explore, eat, sip, and write their way around historic downtown Summerville.
Who Is Welcome - This event is open to all writers. Novice or experienced, young or old, anyone seeking to experience writing in a different way is welcome.
Location - The event is self guided. It will begin with an introductory gathering at the Public Works Arts Center.
Cost - This event is a free event. However, the nature of the marathon is meant to mingle food, drink, and words. So gathering at local food & beverage establishments is encouraged.
What To Bring - Writers are encouraged to go "old school" and reconnect with pen and paper. However, laptops are welcome
