Join us for a powerful, first-of-its-kind community event in Anne Arundel County.
The Act of Valor Youth Basketball Classic brings together competitive youth teams, veterans, families, and community leaders for a day rooted in pride, purpose, and connection.
This is more than a tournament. It is a Veteran Reconnection Experience.
Event Schedule
9:00 AM – Opening Ceremony Honoring Service Members & Veterans
9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Youth Basketball Tournament Regional recreational teams competing on two courts running simultaneously
9:45 AM – Veterans Benefits Briefing
1:45 PM – SMVF Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Fireside Chat In partnership with the Service Members, Veterans, and their Families (SMVF) Suicide Prevention Coalition Committee of Anne Arundel County
Throughout the day, families and attendees can enjoy:
• Family-friendly activities
• Interactive engagement areas
• Community Village featuring local organizations
• Government agencies
• First responders
• Veteran nonprofits
• Resource and information tables
The Community Village creates space for connection, conversation, and access to valuable services.

This experience creates a new bridge — bringing youth, families, veterans, and community partners together in one welcoming environment where belonging happens naturally.
